Visitor privacy

This website measures readership to help Dr. Farmer understand which content readers find useful.

We store randomly generated browser and visit identifiers, pages and sections viewed, referring website names or promotional source labels, active visits of at least 30 seconds, article openings, media starts, external link clicks, and successful form submissions. Analytics do not include your name, email, message, IP address, or the full referring URL. Ordinary hosting services may process connection information to deliver the website.

The browser identifier stays in local storage until you clear it. Visit information uses session storage. Analytics are kept in the website’s database and are visible only in the private owner area. We do not use advertising trackers or send these analytics to Google or Meta.

To opt out, enable your browser’s Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. Browsers that block local storage are also excluded. Clearing site storage resets the anonymous browser identifier.

If you submit a thought or review, the name, email, and text you provide are handled separately so Dr. Farmer can review and respond. Your email is not published.
